About Pioneer Generation Office
PGO was set up in August 2014 to engage Pioneers on the PGP. Its mission was to gather and train a group of volunteer PGAs who will go door-to-door to visit Pioneers, explain to them the benefits of the PGP and answer their queries. The role of PGO was subsequently expanded to include engagement of non-Pioneer seniors on other senior-related Government schemes. Till date, PGO has trained and qualified over 3,000 PGAs. PGAs undergo rigorous training on the PGP, MSHL and other senior-related schemes.

As of 26 March 2018, there were four active dengue clusters in Singapore. While NEA continues with inspections of the cluster area, all members of the public and stakeholders are to make a concerted effort to prevent mosquito breeding, so as to suppress the Aedes mosquito population and keep dengue incidence low. Dengue continues to pose a threat to everyone.

The aim of this talk is to equip seniors with the knowledge on the Aedes mosquito, dengue and Zika, and the preventive measures. It also aims to inspire them to be Dengue Prevention Volunteers (DPVs) to spread the anti-dengue messages to their peers.
