Privacy Policy
In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, RSVP Singapore protects all personal information provided by you and will not share your personal details with a third party without your consent, and all your personal data will be kept strictly confidential and secured.

What We Collect
The types of information we collect include:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Race
  • Contact
  • Email address
  • Postal code
  • Employment history
  • Education

 

The types of sensitive information we collect for the purposes of publicity, volunteer out-of-pocket reimbursement and extension to third parties such as programme funders include:

  • NRIC/ FIN number
  • Personal bank details
  • Pictures/ videos taken at events that may be used for publication purposes (e.g. our website, social media channels, media etc.)
  • Records of communication between us

 

How We Collect and Use
We may collect information either directly or from third parties in various ways for volunteering and course registration purposes:

  • Face to face (e.g. our office, events, roadshows, talks etc.)
  • Electronically (e.g. our website, online forms and surveys etc.)
  • Social media messages
  • Phone calls
  • Text messages

Volunteers below the age of 16 years old will require parental/guardian consent for the collection of personal data of the above-mentioned.

By providing personal data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your dependent, spouse, children and/or parents) to RSVP Singapore, you represent and warrant that the third party has given consent for the disclosure, collection and use of his/her personal data for the purposes listed above.

Your personal and sensitive information will be used for the purpose(s) for which it was collected, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Access and Correction
You may access or correct your information by submitting a request and our Data Protection Officer will respond to you within 14 working days. We will require you to provide some form of identification and a written explanation to support your request.

We may refuse your request to access information if it:

  • Threatens or may cause grave harm to the safety or physical or mental health of another individual
  • Reveals personal data and identity about another individual
  • Is contrary to national interest

We may charge you a fee to access your personal data on how we may have used or disclosed it for the past one year. You may enquire more from our Data Protection Officer.

Accuracy
Our Data Protection Officer will conduct updating exercise once a year through electronic or written forms to verify and update your information to ensure they are accurate and current.

Withdrawing
You may withdraw your consent to us collecting, using or disclosing information about you at any time by submitting your request to our Data Protection Officer and they will respond to you within 10 working days. We will require you to provide some form of identification and a written explanation to support your request.

We will cease to retain your personal data when it is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

Protection and Retention
We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of personal data and to protect it against loss of unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure.

Our IT systems are highly secured, encrypted and complied with applicable security standards.

Only authorised personnel are permitted to access these information and we will remove them when it is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

Feedback
Submit your feedback to our Data Protection Officer.

We will require you to provide some form of identification and a written explanation to support your feedback. In order to effectively address your feedback, we may request further information from you about your feedback and the reasons behind it. Our Data Protection Officer will respond to you within 14 working days.
