Angela Wong
A dedicated volunteer with RSVP Singapore since January 2020, Angela was introduced to RSVP through a friendโs brother who encouraged her to explore the RSVP website. The timing couldnโt have been better. As she was preparing for retirement and searching for meaningful ways to give back, that little nudge opened the door to a whole new chapter in her life.

Before joining us, Angela spent her career in academia โ proof that no matter your background or experience, thereโs always a place for you to serve and make a difference at RSVP. One of the biggest gains from her journey is embracing the โnever stop learningโ spirit and taking on fun new challenges. For instance, she took up Cha Cha Dancing under the guidance of RSVPโs Chairperson, Ms Genevieve Chua, and performed confidently in front of a crowd of 300 guests at RSVPโs Charity Dinner 2024. Most recently, she stepped up once again by role playing as a nostalgic Hawker during the festive Lunar New Year celebrations at the Glass Dome.

With a strong desire to stay active and to keep learning, Angela loves meeting people from all walks of life, using her knowledge to uplift others. Volunteering has enriched her life with friendships, purpose and joy.
Her advice to those considering to volunteer? โGo for it! You will not regret it! Volunteering is the Vitamin V that we need to keep us healthy in mind and body so that we can continue to do good! And the best part is that it is free!โ
